Motif’s Maternity Compression Garments are FDA-listed medical devices designed by experts to provide support, relief, and stabilization for increased comfort during pregnancy and postpartum. The soft, yet supportive fabric of our maternity compression line targets specific areas to help you stay on your feet during pregnancy and recover after giving birth.
Whether it’s a pregnancy support band, postpartum recovery garment, or socks, sizing is very important when it comes to buying compression garments. Compression should feel snug, but not too tight and should never hurt to put on. To learn more about how to tell if you have the right size, check out our blog.
It's important to note:
If you received a boxed version of a Motif compression garment it likely has an older size chart on it. Your size for Postpartum recovery garments has not changed. Pregnancy Support Band sizing has changed. Your garment should match the size chart on your box, not the updated size chart seen here.
Pregnancy Support Band:
- For best fit, using inches, measure under the belly at the largest part of your waist, typically below the belly button. This is where the band will be worn as a cradle.
C-Section Postpartum Recovery Garment:
- After 36 weeks, measure around the hips at their widest point, in inches.
- If 36 weeks or less use your pre-pregnancy pant size. If you expect to gain more than 35lbs during your pregnancy, add one size.
Natural Birth Postpartum Recovery Garment:
- After 36 weeks, measure around the hips at their widest point, in inches.
- If 36 weeks or less use your pre-pregnancy pant size. If you expect to gain more than 35lbs during your pregnancy, add one size.
Gradient Compression Socks:
- Measure the circumference, the distance all the way around, both your ankle and calf. Choose the size which most closely matches these measurements.
