The Postpartum Recovery Garment is designed for one week to four months postpartum.

How is the postpartum Recovery Garment different from the Abdominal Binder?

Both the Abdominal Binder and Postpartum Recovery Garment provide support and stability, cover the abdomen, and can be used after a C-section or vaginal birth. However, each has a unique design so that mom can make the best choice for her, depending on how long she has been postpartum and personal preference. We recommend using the Abdominal Binder right after birth as it only covers the abdomen and is easy to use. After at least one week postpartum or when you are comfortable, we recommend transitioning to the Postpartum Recovery Garment for additional support in the thighs and hips and increased comfort. 

How is the Postpartum Recovery Garment different from shapewear?

Shapewear, or spanx, isn’t designed to make any lasting changes to your body, it’s made to act as a temporary fix. A postpartum recovery garment, however, is specifically created to facilitate long-term, lasting changes as your body restores itself after delivery. It is also an FDA-listed medical device that supports both your pelvic floor and abdomen and promotes good posture.

The Postpartum Recovery Garment is made of the following:

Fabric: 76% Nylon (polyamide), 24% Spandex (elastane)

Mesh: 65% polyamide, 35% elastane

The Postpartum Recovery Garment is available in sizes X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large.
